      Hello shahbazk93

Amoeba cells are a kind of crawling cells that grow in the soil. They eat bacteria and generally do no harm. But the way they walk is the same as cancer cells. This means I can study how cells move in them without hurting animals or costing too much.

Embryo cells are the cells in human eggs. They will grow up to form a baby. While they do that they have to move around a lot, in very precise ways.

Amoeba are cool unicellular organisms! Here’s a video clip of some moving http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pR7TNzJ_pA

Here’s a video of an embryo developing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgT5rUQ9EmQ Pretty amazing, eh?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7H2mEQYIWc : look at this pretty cool video of mouse embryos and how they develop

http://youtu.be/MefTPoeVQ3w: check this one. this is the embryo of a fruit fly. each one of the little white dots is a cell in the embryo, see how they move around, so organized. This will form the maggot that then will turn into a fly. It’s so cool!

      Hi shahbazk,

All living beings consist of cells. Some living beings, like amoebae or bacteria, consist of one cell only. That is why they are called unicellular.

Other organisms like animals or trees or humans consist of many cells and are called multicellular. When multicellular organisms are at an early developmental stage, they are called embryos. Embryos will eventually develop into fully grown individuals of their species. The cells an embryo consists of are called embryo cells.
