We can’t (yet) make nanobots that are good for anything at all. They’re an idea rather than a practicality (though I read about them in 2000AD every week; yes, I am an old science geek with a grey beard, but I still read 200AD religiously, like my neighbour down the corridoor).

When, eventually, we make nanobots that are any use, they will have to be very clever. Our own immune cells already kill nearly all cancers. The only ones that turn into disease are the ones our immune cells miss.
